This is an initial One Year Maternity cover contract role

Our client is looking for an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join their organisation based in Westminster, London. Your key roles will be to deliver a proactive and responsive HR service to parishes (employees and volunteers) and provide coaching, support, development and guidance of Human Resources

Ideally you will have experience within a not for profit, charity or church organisation, this will help when offering support to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner as required in the management of the wider HR diocesan service

Key responsibilities for the role as Human Resource Business Partner

  • Consult with individuals across all the parishes of the diocese, providing an, as required support & guidance, covering a full generalist remit including ER and grievances / employee relations issues / grievances, coaching, education, recruitment, restructures, reward, compensation, redundancy and job evaluation
  • Provide analysis of trends and metrics – sharing with Senior HR Business Partner & Parish Priests across all parishes
  • Provide education and guidance to line managers across all parishes in reference to simple ER and grievances / management of complex employee relations issues and grievances
  • Provide HR 3rd line policy support and interpretation as required
  • To line manage coach and mentor the HR Data Administrator and Receptionist Supervisor
  • To identify training needs for HR Data Administrator and Receptionist Supervisor
  • With the support of the Senior HR Business Partner & Head of HR – design, develop and evaluate implementation of training programs across the wider parishes
  • Responsible for the delivery of functions which relate to KPIs across the Curia
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner as required with the external audit and reporting
  • Support the HR Administrator when required with the administrative aspects of the 360 recruitment function across all areas of the diocese
  • Accountable for correct entering of variable pay / adjustments / special payments / deductions and all elements relating to direct pay

Person specification for the Human Resource Business Partner

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience within ER, Generalist and Administrative HR function, including employee engagement, disciplinary, grievance, recruitment, reward and HRIS / Payroll
  • Ideally you will have experience within a not for profit, charity or church organisation
  • Experience of advising management at all levels of seniority on all HR matters
  • Bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above (HR, Law or Finance desirable)
  • CIPD level 3, 4 or 5
