We’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join a respected construction services organisation, delivering high-quality electrical work across commercial, retail, domestic and industrial projects throughout Cambridgeshire.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified NVQ Level 3 Electrician who wants to work on varied, high-profile projects as part of a skilled and supportive team. You’ll play an important role in electrical installation, maintenance and refurbishment, working both independently and as part of wider project teams. Due to the nature of the work, some travel and flexible hours may be required.
Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you’ll support a range of electrical projects from small refurbishments to large-scale commercial developments, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out all duties expected of a qualified NVQ Level 3 Electrician with proven experience in a similar environment.
- Supporting and supervising apprentices and trainees, offering professional guidance and development.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and undertaking relevant training.
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and site teams.
- Completing tasks efficiently while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
- Working collaboratively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Interpreting electrical design and construction drawings accurately.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Using internal systems and software to maintain accurate records.
- Following all current Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Representing the organisation professionally on all sites.
- Ensuring clear and timely communication with managers, supervisors and clients.
- Raising concerns or issues promptly to avoid delays or project penalties.
- Delivering work aligned with client specifications and high standards of customer service.
- Working sustainably and with environmental responsibility in mind.
- Supporting additional duties as project needs evolve.
