Are you a passionate Health & Safety officer, looking for an exciting new role?
Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Health & Safety officer to work with one of their well-established and highly successful and growing clients based in Burnley working as part of their Development team.
Working as a Health & Safety Officer you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. You will effectively communicate and collaborate with various parts of the business in implementing and monitoring environment and safety policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing training and guidance to employees to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
Principle Responsibilities for the Health & Safety Officer:-
- Improve, implement, and maintain environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of the workplace
- work with other department and shift managers and supervisors to establish and maintain effective safety programs and initiatives.
- Provide support and training to employees on health and safety matters
- Deliver comprehensive training programs
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries
- Drive and chair the Health and Safety forum across all shifts, keeping accurate records and building a positive health and safety culture within the business.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and safety-related data.
Person specification:-
- Ideally experience within a FMCG background or similar
- At least 2 years SHE Officer experience
- Ability to train and communicate with other teams
- Take ownership of work
This is a full time permanent Health & Safety Officer position, offering an annual salary of up to £40,000 plus annual company benefits to include a 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension scheme, discount scheme on all company products and free car parking.
