Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Production Manager to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients who carry a culture of openness , participation , accountability , flexibility and teamwork. There growth has helped them become one of the world leaders in mechanical engineering equipment and resources.
Principle Responsibilities for the Procution Manager:
- Full management and responsibilty for compliance with the company’s ISO45001 enviornmental , health and safety requirements.
- Strategically structure, plan, implement, and sustain a competitive production and manufacturing framework – encompassing people, plant, facilities, and systems.
- Effectively developing and managing facilities , layouts , systems to ensure safe , quality-compliant and cost efficient production across different sites.
- Presenting production KPI’ s to the senior management team that align with the business strategy, along with defined actions to combat negative trends identified.
- Achieve cost reduction in materials, consumables, and components by assessing and reporting on design for manufacture. Collaborate and review with design/engineering teams and suppliers to eliminate costs from component supply. Support make-versus-buy analysis and costing to optimize commercial advantage.
Person specification:-
- 5 years in a fast-paced / large-scale Production Management role within an Engineering Assembly Manufacturing environment.
- Engineering or an equivalent level of qualification in a manufacturing technical discipline , to level 5 or above.
- Leadership experience in continuous improvement/LEAN deployment function ideally within Automotive , Aerospace & Engineering.
- Excellent capability with Kaizan/Lean/Six sigma problems resolution techniques.
- Excellent understanding of Manufacturing Process: Assembly (Mechanical/Electrical/Hydraulic), Fabrication / Machining and Finishing Systems (Coatings / Paint).
This is a full time permanent Product Management position, with working hours of 08.00 – 16.40 from Monday – Friday , offering an annual salary of £57,000 plus OTE’s of up to £75,000 , plus annual company benefits to include a 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, discounted gym memberships , store discounts , health cover scheme with additional memberships for partners and children.
