Our client, a leading business within the Agricultural Machinery industry is looking for a Service Technician to join their team in Oxfordshire.
You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural and plant machinery while delivering knowledgeable and efficient customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work within a growing team, providing expert technical support and contributing to the business’s ongoing success.
Core responsibilities of the Service Technician
- Install, set up, and commission agricultural and plant equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on tractors, harvesters, and other machinery to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in agricultural and plant machinery.
- Advise customers on equipment use, maintenance, and best practices.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and order components as needed.
- Record service work, including performance reports and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Provide on-call emergency repairs and support.
- Travel to customer sites, including remote locations, for on-site service.
- Use diagnostic tools to resolve technical issues and stay updated on industry advancements.
What’s on offer
- An annual salary of up to £40,000
- Full time, permanent position
- 39 contracted hours per week + paid overtime
