Our client, a leading manufacturer of technical industrial goods, is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their team in Cambridgeshire. This is an opportunity to earn a generous base salary, with a great commission structure and company car.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and co-ordinate Direct Sales within the territory assigned. This exciting opportunity involves working within the Sales team and contributing directly to ensure profitability and growth in line with the company vision.
As Key Account Manager, your tasks include:
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets (approx. £1m annually), with accurate forecasting and regular reporting on KPIs and activity.
- Manage key accounts and generate repeat business through structured account plans, while also creating new opportunities and responding to marketing leads.
- Plan and carry out consultative site visits, liaising with customers to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare and submit technical quotations and order paperwork, ensuring all activity is recorded accurately in the CRM system.
- Monitor competitor activity, maintain profitability in line with business goals, and adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
