Coulter Elite Resourcing is currently recruiting on behalf of a client, a leading supplier of machinery to the Food Processing sector across the UK and Ireland. Our client caters to a diverse clientele, ranging from major PLCs to smaller independent producers. Their machinery portfolio includes a wide range of products, from standalone manual bag sealers to full turnkey automated production lines featuring robotics.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- Good understanding of industrial electrical principles, encompassing high-current power circuits and low-voltage control circuits.
- Basic comprehension of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Fundamental mechanical knowledge, including pneumatics.
- Commitment to maintaining safe working practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Proficient in maintaining safe working practices.
- Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
- Thorough knowledge of safety systems.
- Minimum qualification of 17th edition.
- A professional team player with a proactive attitude.
- Possession of a full clean driving license due to the rural location of our client’s factory; own transportation is essential.
- Willingness to occasionally work away from the primary location.
Role Responsibilities:
- Mainly based at our client’s Kent factory, working collaboratively with their team of engineers.
- Support all new projects from the sales phase through to delivery.
- Daily tasks include:
- Building electrical control cabinets from component level.
- Electrical and mechanical assembly and wiring of systems.
- Conducting modifications to existing machines.
- Installing new safety systems or upgrading existing ones.
- Collaborating with team members on all projects.
